As from next month, NET TV will be broadcasting a new sitcom on Tuesdays at 10.30pm.

The locally produced The Inheritance is written by Dame Marie Angelique Caruana, and is a light-hearted sitcom set in London and Malta, with a cast of 30 Maltese and foreign actors, including Barry Calvert, Josephine Fuller, Mikhail Basmadjian, Tamara Jane, Ruth Sammut Casingena, Jean Pierre Agius, Mario Stanyer, Anna Trumbic, Jesmond Triccas, Joe Farrugia d-Dulli and Ben Stuart, with a special guest appearance by Albert Moses.

Maltese born Minka (short for Duminka) Galea Borg has had five children from two marriages. Her children have left Malta and settled in Europe and the USA, to further their careers.

Meanwhile, 50-year-old Minka won a holiday to London, where she met and married 70-year-old Gerard Crook. Then one day, she receives a letter from a lawyer in Malta, telling her that she has inherited a castle from her father.

This is when her five children decide to return to Malta to find out about the inheritance.

The Inheritance is produced by TJC Media and directed by Tony Parnis. The first episode will be screened on NET TV on Tuesday, 9 January at 10.30pm.
