As part of the Vertical Strategic Alliance between the Investment, Industry and IT Ministry and Microsoft, students and teachers can now benefit from the third software initiative.
The package includes a Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade and Office 2007 Enterprise. Students and teachers are eligible to purchase this package at Lm46 (VAT included). Why should they apply?
This offer is a unique opportunity for all Maltese students and teachers to be the first to experience the latest Microsoft software.
The price at which this software is being sold is Lm300 less than the product’s market price.
The version offered is the most extensive, as the software offers a number of facilities beyond those that are normally found in software provided for home use.
Microsoft Vista and the latest version of the Office will be widely used in the corporate environment, thus the ability to access such technology will enable students to get a glimpse of their future working environment.
This offer applies to students and teachers who have purchased the second software package known as the HelloIT, launched in 2005. The HelloIT package costs Lm13.99 and includes Office 2003, Encarta, Visual Studio and a licence for Class Server and is still available. Those who purchase the HelloIT pack are entitled to register for the new Vista offer.
Registrations for the Vista package will be received up to 15 December. Anyone wishing to register will need to present his Identity Card together with the licence of the HelloIT pack or the letter received by the Ministry. Every registration requires a Lm10 deposit. Purchase of the HelloIT pack and registrations for Vista can be effected at all Maltapost branches.
Students at the university and MCAST can use their Smart Card to purchase the HelloIT pack and register for the Vista. Registrations at university are being made at the Computer Services Centre during office hours (up to 15 December). MCAST students can register at the MCAST Administration foyer on Thursday, 7 December between 9.30am and 2pm. Those interested are urged to take advantage of this offer and register now for the Vista offer.
