Bank of Valletta said that it will not be sending out Christmas greeting cards this year. The Bank has donated the funds equivalent to the cost of producing and printing Christmas Cards to Wonderland Ward and the Ursuline Creche in Guardamangia. The donations were presented by Michael Galea, Head of PR, Communications and Corporate Branding at Bank of Valletta to Professor Victor Calvagna at Wonderland Ward and Sr. Catherine Micallef at the Ursuline Creche.

Speaking about the decision to support the children rather than sending Christmas cards, Mr Galea said that the Bank felt this was in line with good principles of corporate social responsibility. “We are sure that our customers will support our decision to use the funds that are normally dedicated to the printing of Christmas cards so as to make this Christmas even more special for the children we are supporting,” said Mr Galea.

Mr Galea added that Bank of Valletta was using other media to wish its shareholders, customers, and the Maltese community at large the very best wishes for a happy Christmas and a most prosperous new year.
