Bank of Valletta recently launched a new publication titled Euro changeover, the business sector and the banks.

The publication aims to give the business community a bird’s eye view on how to make the euro changeover process as smooth as possible while focusing on the interaction between banks and the business community.

“This publication is another initiative being taken by Bank of Valletta forming part of our education and information campaign directed at supporting our business customers and the business community in general during the euro changeover process,” said John Cassar Torregiani, executive head responsible for the euro programme at Bank of Valletta.

He explained that the publication, in the form of a booklet, covers areas such as the reasons for euro introduction, facts about the euro, adoption of the euro in Malta, frequently asked questions on the euro changeover and banking services.

Mr Cassar Torregiani said BOV is implementing a rigorous euro changeover process and is in a position to share its knowledge base and expertise with its customers to support their efforts to have a straightforward and efficient transition to the new currency.

“All the initiatives taken underline our firm belief that communication is a key element that will contribute towards the successful adoption of the euro,” concluded Mr Cassar Torregiani.
