The Victoria Hotel employees’ party this year was held at the Melita Gardens, in Attard. During this festive event two employees were presented with the Summer and Winter Achiever of the Year Award.

Amanda Axiaq is the recipient of the Victoria Hotel’s Summer Achiever Award for Innovation, while Joe Darmanin received the Winter Achiever Award which had as a central inspiration the theme of passion. Both these employees were voted by their colleagues for their commitment towards last year’s issues which had as a theme, innovation and passion.

Claire Xuereb, Victoria Hotel general manager, said that the year 2006 had been a very good year for The Victoria and thanked the staff for their dedication, without which this success wouldn’t have been possible. She also said that she looks forward to further challenges and collaboration in 2007 and was especially banking on their continued support at the new five-star hotel The Palace.

The event was also attended by Angelo Xuereb, AX Holdings Chairman and Josephine Xuereb, AX Foundation chairperson.
