The Westin Dragonara Resort has just refurbished its Lobby Lounge Bar, making it into one of the most luxurious hotel Piano Bar lounges in the industry, also offering free WIFI.

The lobby lounge, now baptised Orvm Bar Lounge and Piano Bar is a modern and elegant Art Déco style able to give a touch of renovation to the classical and refined ambience of The Westin Dragonara.

Architectonic details and furnishings coming from different parts of the world, meet at the Orvm to create a unique place, where each detail was made with particular attention to accuracy. From the Mexican onyx used for realizing the panels decorating the bar corner to the English lamps that make the ambience precious, from vases made in stone from Lecce in Italy and to the local craftsmanship of the wood and mouth-blown glass spheres chosen to create the amazing bar, all fragments of distant and different cultures that make Orvm an eclectic and original place.

The predominant colour of the renewed bar at the Westin Dragonara is orange: its shades apparent in the onyx panels that illuminate the dark wood of the imposing bar. The brown, beige and blue tones of the furniture, made from leather and chenille, are a modern interpretation of the spirit and charm of the roaring twenties, punctuated with late Art Déco design elements. Bright turquoise and fuchsia cushions scattered on the plush sofas instil the Mediterranean warmth we are famous for, making Orvm a place to live, and also to experience.

The name Orvm implies gold, from the Italian oro, signifying the luxurious and plush décor. It also comes from the Latin word forvm, a meeting place, where people congregate and interact – a social place that one has to experience.

Orvm Bar Lounge and Piano Bar opens every day from 8am to 1am, offering a young and refined ambience, that changes at different moments of the day. The bar boasts the best in international drinks and world wines, while the snack menu leaves nothing to be desired, from Mediterranean fare to oriental sushi, prepared by our Executive Chef John Hornsby. Orvm also offers the Westin Wellness Menu that includes a large assortment of organic and healthy snacks.

For those desiring a break in the afternoon, Orvm is the perfect place for enjoying sweet deliciousness prepared by the pastry chef Jonathan Camilleri, which you can choose from the cake display. Everything is accompanied by the relaxing music.

Unwind, a Westin Evening Ritual happens every day at the Orvm from 6.30pm till 8.30pm, where the shift from day to night occurs, with soft lights, candles, live music and a dedicate Unwind menu.
