A Holy Mass to commemorate 50 years of Malta’s participation in international football will be said by Fr Anton Ciangura at the Capuchin Church, Floriana, on Friday 23 February at 9am.

Those veteran players who took part in the first international match against Austria on 24 February 1957 will be joined in attendance by officials of the Malta Football Association and also by those players who, may at any one time, wore the national jersey during these last 50 years.

This invitation is being extended to those journalists, and also those members of the Malta Football Referees Association, who were “on active international duty” during these 50 years. Obviously their families, relatives and friends are also welcome to attend.
