Crackers: CHILDREN’S CINEMA DAY

KRS Film Distributors have pleasure in announcing the first Children’s Cinema Day of 2007, now in its eighth year, next Saturday 3 March.

On this special cinema day children will have their choice from no fewer than 17 films at a reduced price of admission of Lm1, while accompanying adults will be charged Lm1.50.

The films programmed to be exhibited include comedies, fantasy adventures, dramas and no less than eight animated features.

The following films are showing on the day: Charlotte’s Web (Drama Live-Action); Flushed Away (Comedy Animated/Cgi); Barnyard – The Original Party Animals (Comedy Animated); Open Season (Adventure Animated); The Ant Bully (Adventure Comedy Animated); Cars (Comedy Animated / Cgi); Monster House (Adventure Animated); Happy Feet (Adventure Comedy Animated); Night At The Museum (Action Adventure Comedy); Eragon (Epic Fantasy Adventure); Zoom (Action Comedy); Rocky Balboa (Boxing Drama); Step Up (Dancing Drama); Goal 2 – Living The Dream (Soccer Drama); Stick It (Gymnastics Drama); Grounded (Comedy) and Garfield 2 (Comedy).

All the films, except Step Up (12), carry either a PG or U rating. Children Cinema Day is once again being organised by KRS Film Distributors with the collaboration of the following cinemas: Eden Cinemas – St Julian’s; Empire Cinemas – Bugibba; Embassy Cinemaworld – Valletta; The New Sun City Cine Palais – Marsascala; Tal-Lira Cinemas – Fgura; and Citadel Cinemas – Gozo.

Film shows at all cinemas in Malta commence at 9am and will run until 7pm. The two-screen Citadel in Gozo will have children’s shows at 4 and 6pm.

Booking for tickets at all cinemas opens tomorrow, 23 February. Early booking is recommended. A film mini poster will be given with every child ticket purchased.
