The National Points Series continued with the second round at Pembroke, The race was organised by the Malta Mountain Bike Association with the collaboration of the Pembroke Local Council.

Ramon Grech of Team Greens flew right from the start with Mosta AF Sign Studio rider Dominic Cutajar on his wheel.

Current NPS leader and national champion Etienne Bonello followed the duo a few metres back as he struggled to keep the fast pace. However in the first uphill of the race, Bonello got hold of the front runners and pushed the pace as Cutajar suffered his early efforts and lost contact with Bonello and Grech.

These rode together till mid race when Grech could not keep on Bonello’s rythm and his aching legs forced him to ease the throttle to get dropped from Bonello who rode to another victory in 57 minutes. Grech finished second just 65 seconds from Bonello with Cutajar in third 2min 35sec later.
