A 67-year-old woman was robbed by an armed man who forced his way inside her home in Kalkara on Saturday evening.

The police said that the robbery took place at around 7.45pm when the woman, who was waiting just outside her home, was approached by an armed man who pushed her inside.

The man demanded money as he repeatedly hit the woman, and made off with a small amount of cash.

The woman was rushed to St Luke’s Hospital and her condition was reported to be stable.

Magistrate Lawrence Quintano appointed several experts to help him in the inquiry. The police are investigating.
