President Concludes official visit to St Julian’s

President Edward Fenech Adami and Mrs Mary Fenech Adami’s official visit to St Julian’s came to an end yesterday.

The visit to this locality started on Wednesday, when the President and Mrs Fenech Adami called at the Clares’ Convent, Casa Leone, Dun Guzepp Xerri Primary School and the Institute of Tourism Studies. In the evening, the president met some NGOs at the Millennium Chapel.

Yesterday’s visit started off with a Mass at St Julian’s parish church, following which the President and Mrs Fenech Adami met residents on the church parvis.

They also met Roger Muscat, an artisan who specialises in

bandalori.

Before visiting Lapsi chapel, where they met some other artisans and were given a brief on the chapel’s historical background by Michael Borg, the President and Mrs Fenech Adami paid a visit to the San Giljan Band Club and went on to Spinola Bay to meet fishermen working on their nets.

The visit ended with a meeting with the mayor of St Julian’s and councillors at the local council office.
