A 32-year-old man was yesterday evening arraigned before Magistrate Dr Miriam Hayman and charged with various offences, the police said.
Matthew Piscopo, from Qormi, was charged with numerous offences, among which, forcing another person to act against his/her will, threatening a person, causing slight bodily harm to a person, possession of a fire arm and cartridges without the necessary police licence, causing voluntary damage as well as breaching the public peace.
Piscopo was also charged with being in possession of stuffed protected birds.
He was also charged with committing an offence during the operative period of a conditional discharge.
Piscopo was denied bail and was taken into custody at Corradino Corrective Facility.
