Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, is supporting the prestigious exhibition “The Silent Warriors – Chinese Terracotta Solders”, being hosted in Malta by Heritage Malta and Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau in China.

The prestigious collection of artefacts from the Chinese terracotta army is currently on show at The Grand Salon of The National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta.

The exhibition brings under one roof over 80 original artefacts, including 10 terracotta soldiers, two horses and a number of bronze and pottery pieces excavated in the last 30 years.

Emirates Manager for Malta and Cyprus, Paul Fleri Soler said: “The impressive collection is a unique opportunity for the Maltese to view in their own country a rare classic find of life-size terracotta figures and other artefacts.

“Emirates is constantly supporting major events around the globe and we believe that this exhibition is a great opportunity to share with our customers.”

Heritage Malta Chairman, Mario Tabone said: “The exhibition has already attracted many visitors – during the first two weeks over 5,000 people visited and we have received very positive feedback from our visitors. Securing Emirates’ support for this major event was instrumental in holding this exhibition in Malta.”
