Four young Maltese players are taking part in the European Under 19 Championship in Prestatyn, Wales. They are Duncan Pisani, Shaun Aguis, Thurston Grixti and Joseph Casha. Pisani, Aguis and Grixti participated in the same Championship last year in Latvia and the three of them qualified to the final stages. Joseph Casha will be participating for the first time.

Included in the list of players is ex-World Champion player Micheal White who last year played against Thurston Grixti in the Baltic Cup.

Sixty four players from 17 countries will participate in this year`s edition. There are eight groups with eight players in each group and the first four players in each group will qualify to the last 32.
