Thousands took part in a lottery organised by Charles Poulton in aid of the Daniel Delicata Memorial Association, which aims to improve the quality of life of sick children who need to use the services and amenities of government health institutions.

A total sum of Lm5,668 was raised from the event, and this will help in the purchase of linoleum flooring for the paediatric ward in Gozo. The existing flooring was fitted 30 years ago. The total amount the association is contributing towards this project is Lm10,500.

The lottery draw was held recently at the offices of Poulton Print Shop in Qormi. The following were the five winning tickets:

First Prize:

LG Plasma 42” donated by Forestals Ltd. Ticket No. 245975 – Mr Carmel Aquilina.

Second Prize:

Two nights bed and breakfast at The Radisson Golden Sands Resort and Spa donated by Island Hotels Group. Ticket No.037927 – Ms Nadia Bonavia.

Third Prize:

Two airline tickets to either London or Paris donated by M. Demajo Group of Companies. Ticket No. 083251 – Mr Marco Tanti.

Fourth Prize:

One year martial arts membership donated by Masters of Martial Arts – Malta Samurai Federation. Ticket no. 059951 – Mr S. Azzopardi.

Fifth Prize:

A silver frame donated by Vascas Ltd. Ticket No. 180174 – Mrs. M. Micallef
