For the last 19 years, Savio College has held an annual bikeathlon event involving the students, their families and friends. The aim of the activity is for the students to enjoy themselves while helping the school’s development

and charitable institutions, such as the Park of Friendship, through fund-raising.

This year’s event was held on 19 March. It involved the participation of over 280 cyclists with the help of around 130 volunteers acting as marshals, first-aiders, mechanics and transporters and helping with food preparation.

The bikeathlon started from Savio College grounds and covered 30km of cycling to the Park of Friendship. At the same time another group of around 100

people – students, friends, parents, teachers and Salesians – participated through a marathon walk, which started and ended at the Park of Friendship.
