A very positive turnout was recorded at the annual McDonald’s Summer Recruitment Drive held at the Meridien Phoenicia Hotel. Sixth formers, University students and other job hunters were all eager to form part of the world’s leading food service team at McDonald’s.

During this event, McDonald’s Malta sought to employ over 150 new crew members, taking its total workforce to 550. “McDonald’s human resources global strategy is to support and enhance the professional development for employees. McDonald’s is one of the largest global employers, with a work force of over one million people around the world. Initiatives like this reinforce McDonald’s core philosophy of giving back to the local community, hence building a positive influence on the neighborhood, its people and the environment in which the company operates. A job at McDonald’s provides valuable work experience helping an individual’s personal and professional development. McDonald’s is renowned as an employer throughout the world for transmitting skills and values that will serve a lifetime,” said Joanna Smith Ellis, McDonald’s Malta marketing manager.

Over the next few weeks these new crew members shall be taking their positions in the eight McDonald’s restaurants scattered throughout the Maltese Islands. They will come to form a key part of a food service team responsible for serving 14,000 customers daily.
