Malta Independent Monday, 9 April 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Following the positive response to Air Malta’s latest Early Bird offer, the airline intends extending the offer until 30 April. Through this offer, Air Malta is offering 22 destinations for the price of Lm19 for a one-way ticket, excluding taxes and charges.

The offer is valid for travel between 18 April and 30 June 2007.

Air Malta’s latest offer, appropriately branded the Early Bird Offer, is a continuation of the Spread Your Arms and Fly campaign, offering 22 destinations from the airline’s extensive route network.

Commenting on the initiative, Air Malta chief executive officer Joe Cappello said: “This offer is also being made available from Air Malta’s major inbound tourist markets, thus assisting the industry during the low and shoulder season that falls between the Easter period and the commencement of the peak summer season. Air Malta is supporting this Early Bird offer with extensive marketing exposure in all its core markets.

“Air Malta has taken the lead to negotiate marketing deals with international media players including major TV networks, leading newspapers, publications and outdoor advertising. Air Malta’s biggest investment in the first quarter of 2007 is the ongoing Sky News campaign, whereby both the airline and the destination are being marketed extensively and effectively during prime time viewing on both the Sky News’ UK and International networks. The Malta Tourism Authority has supported these marketing efforts and this confirms the close synergy between the organisations.”

The Early Bird Offer is valid for travel to and from the

following destinations: Amsterdam, Budapest, Casablanca, London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, Liverpool, Lyon, Glasgow, Marseille, Milan, Nantes, Naples, Newcastle, Paris, Prague, Rome, Stockholm, Toulouse, Venice, Vienna and Zurich.

Moreover, Air Malta offers its customers a full service, in which it operates a brand new aircraft fleet with the best in-flight entertainment on the Malta route with three types of free audio-visual programming including films, feature films and documentaries on selected destinations, a new inflight magazine – Skylife, free newspapers, complimentary drink (including wine or beer), a poolable 20kg free baggage allowance for economy class passengers and 30kg for Club Class passengers and an interlineable network, where passengers can transit and continue their journeys beyond Air Malta’s network of destinations.

A substantial number of seats are on offer for the period and reservations and ticketing need to be effected by 30 April. Certain conditions and travel restrictions may apply.

Flyaway Tours hotels, with excellent value for money in all countries, are also available.
