A 56-year-old man from Mqabba was jailed for 18 months, suspended for three years, yesterday, after he was found guilty of stealing cash from an Italian woman in a casino.

Joseph Vassallo was found guilty of stealing e3,550 and Lm375 to the detriment of Caterina Citarda on 3 January this year.

Magistrate Audrey Demicoli presided over the court and police inspector Paul Bond prosecuted.
