Maltacom recently sponsored a social event targeting teenagers in a bid to offer young people a healthy alternative for entertainment in an alcohol- and smoke-free environment.

Just Entertaining Teens (JET) parties is the brainchild of a young person, Ben Camilleri, who even though very young himself, has an almost streetwise experience of modern-day juvenile problems. His aim was to launch a proactive campaign against adopting negative lifestyles at a very early age. The organiser’s energy, determination and control of the situation led Maltacom to support the initiative.

“We are delighted to team up with the organiser and give local youngsters a unique opportunity to enjoy themselves. The sponsorship underpins Maltacom Group’s commitment to effectively care for the community in which it operates,” said Franco Aloisio, Maltacom’s head of communications and public affairs.

While thanking Maltacom for the support, Mr Camilleri said he aimed to give young teenagers a positive experience for their weekends that was fun, healthy and non-harmful while offering them a unique opportunity to enhance their social skills and mental maturity and acquire hands-on training enabling them to prepare for adulthood.

“We scored a high level of success with our first activity and we will be moving on to higher achievements in the near future for the benefit of young people. We thank Maltacom for being so supportive and sensitive to the needs of young people,” said Mr Camilleri.
