Vodafone Teams up with AEGEE-Valletta

Malta Independent Monday, 23 April 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Vodafone Malta Limited has confirmed its support for AEGEE-Valletta, a leading student non-profit making, non-faculty based and non-political organisation at the University of Malta.

The sponsorship, the second time it has been given, coincides with its 10th year anniversary, since it was founded in Malta, and in view of the imminent hosting of the bi-annual general network meeting, to be held in Malta at the end of April, 2007. The AGORA, as it is commonly known, is a statutory meeting, where 600 AEGEEans discuss the future of AEGEE-Europe and particular topics that interest the student community in general, ranging from student mobility to human rights issues.

Johann Schembri, President of AEGEE-Valletta expressed his gratitude for the support given by Vodafone. "This sponsorship will surely help us in reaching out to more university students, and let them know about the endless opportunities they have on local and European level", said Mr. Schembri.
