The recent controversy over the name of the Cottonera garden set me going to look up some of the projects that were carried out by the Nationalist government in an area that is predominantly Labour.

Apart from the garden and the Cottonera Waterfront, which are the most obvious additions to the beauty of the Three Cities, one may also mention the Verdala school which is under construction, the home for the elderly in Cospicua, the Cottonera Sports Complex and the restoration of the Inquisitor’s Palace.

The people of Cottonera should be grateful for what the Nationalists have done for them over the past years. No Labour government has ever given so much attention to this area.
