Hansel Mallia succeeded in winning the Easter Cup for the first time in his carrear after beating Mark Gauci in the final 3-2.

Mallia took a two goal lead in the early stages of the game with Gauci reducing the arrears just before half time. Midway in the second half Gauci managed to equalise with a low shot first timer from a corner that surprised Mallia. When all looked that the game would end up going into extra time a rather quick counter attack by Mallia sealed the issue.

Mallia who had managed 2nd position at Group stage had the better off against Joe Borg Bonaci whom he beat 2-1 in the Semi-Final. In the other semi final Mark Gauci beat Charles Aquilina 3-2.
