A man was charged yesterday with seriously injuring another man after allegedly hurling a pint glass in his direction.

Kenneth Mamo, 25, from Sliema, was charged with seriously injuring Christopher Falzon from Attard on Tuesday evening outside an Irish pub in St Julian’s. He was further accused of breaching the peace and relapsing.

Before magistrate Antonio Mizzi, Mr Mamo pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him and was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police Inspector Martin Sammut prosecuted while Dr Jose Herrera appeared for the accused.
