Four men were injured yesterday afternoon when a lift on which they were working gave way and they fell to the ground below.

The men, a 40-year-old from Msida, a 24-year-old from Senglea, a 57-year-old from Birzebbuga and a 23-year-old from Fgura were all injured in the fall, which occurred in a warehouse in Triq is-Sebh, Qormi.

The police said the four men were rushed to hospital where they were treated for the injuries they had sustained. They are not in critical condition, the police said.

Duty magistrate Antonio Mizzi was informed about the case.

Police investigations are still under way.
