The government has spent Lm12 million on the refurbishment of St Vincent de Paul residential home for the elderly, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said during a visit to the home yesterday.

Dr Gonzi met members of staff in various sections of the home, and expressed the

government’s appreciation of the work they carry out.

During his visit to the home, where 1,000 residents are cared for by 900 employees, the Prime Minister was informed about the modernisation project in the Pope John Paul II wards.
