The Joe Bajada Memorial meeting is being held today at the Matthew Micallef St John Track, Marsa. The first event on the programme is the 4 x100 m Cadet boys. Triple jump and Javelin are scheduled to start at 2.30pm.

Till today, eight athletes have qualified for next month’s Games for European Small Nations in Monaco. More are expected to qualify this week and during the national championships which will be held next weekend.

Three records were broken during last Saturday’s friendly meeting: 4 x 100m youth boys, Long Jump Junior Boys and an Open, Junior and Youth High Jump Women’s record.

Another thrilling meeting is expected.
