A basis of an agreement has been reached between the MFA and the three TV and Radio Stations – PBS, Net TV and Super One – over the coverage of local football matches. This was confirmed to the Council Members. Details of the agreement are to be announced soon.

Roderick Briffa and Luke Dimech were suspended for one and two matches respectively following the card sanctions they received in the recent Euro 2008 qualifying matches against Moldova and Greece.

The calendar of the BOV Premier League and the BOV First Division League matches and Malta's international programme for season 2007/2008 has been approved. All the MFA competitions will be unchanged for next season. Meanwhile it was decided to look into the possibility of having First Division matches also played at the Centenary Stadium so that the teams will be engaged every two weeks.

The draws of the Euro Cup competition will be held on 26 June, while those of the League competitions are scheduled for 9 July.

It was decided to formulate a proposal so that a discussion will be held on how to liberalise the existing regulations on the eligibility of amateur players of member clubs for Futsal competitions. The aim is to enhance the level of Futsal in Malta.

The MFA, through its Executive Committee, decided to give permission to State Schools to organise a Sports Festival at Ta' Qali later on this year.

The plans to transfer the MFA Headquarters from Valletta to the Millennium Stand, Ta' Qali, are in an advanced stage. The MFA is making all efforts to minimise the inconvenience in its day-to-day service this relocation may cause.
