The SPATEC UK & Europe showcase and networking event for suppliers and buyers was held between 25 and 28 April at Le Méridien St Julian’s, Balluta Bay.

The event, which was organised by McLean Events International Ltd, brought together some of the most important spa, wellness and beauty operators of leading European medium-to-large hotels, resorts, destinations and medical and day spas, to meet with 60 leading domestic and international suppliers. These participated in a series of pre-selected, one-to-one meetings over two dedicated business days.

One-to-one meetings allowed delegates to talk business and network in a way that is not always possible with trade shows and conferences. Both buyers and suppliers chose who they wanted to meet beforehand and were given a personal schedule of meetings. Attendees also had the opportunity to network during breakfast, lunches and dinners as well as during the team building event and social programme. Each day commenced with a key-note presentation from speakers from within the sector.

This is the first time that this event was held in Europe since previously it was held in the United States. Le Méridien St Julian’s, Balluta Bay provided the venue and every convenience to create the ideal setting to clear the mind and focus on business, while United Travel helped in coordinating the whole event.
