Lacuna In Gozo this weekend

Malta Independent Saturday, 19 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 18 years ago

Following the premier of Lacuna last December, Dù Theatre Group, is once again bringing this performance to our theatres this month. The performances will run in conjunction with tomorrow’s launch of Sepja, a series of short novels by Trevor Zahra on which Lacuna is loosely based and also as part of the Lejlet Lapsi festivities in Gozo that is taking place this weekend. The all-female ensemble will once again portray the story of four women who find themselves in an alien space. They cannot remember who they are, where they are, who the other three are, or what they’re supposed to be doing. They only have one thing in common – they can all sing the Santa Lucia, until they figure out an unorthodox way of remembering….

Lacuna will be performed today at Sentinella, Citadella, Gozo as part of Lejlet Lapsi (please refer to the Lejlet Lapsi programme for details regarding the times of shows).

Tomorrow it will be on at the MITP Theatre, St Christopher’s Street, Valletta at 8pm. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are available from St James Cavalier on 2122-3216 or [email protected] (booking is advised since there is a limited number of seats available).
