Malta Independent Wednesday, 23 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

For the third consecutive year, Bank of Valletta is organising a Gozo Week, which comes to an end on Saturday.

“The BOV Gozo Week is an initiative that underlines the importance that Bank of Valletta gives to the Gozitan community,” said Jack Thewma, manager of BOV’s Gozo Branch when launching this initiative. “We will once again this year be offering added value to our customers in Gozo through a number of special offers,” he added. These include free gifts with new Lifelink policies, discounts on the policy fee for new BOV Lifelink Investment Bonds, discounted fees on Stockbroking transactions and discounts on VFM Funds fees.

Jack Thewma added that various activities will be organised at the bank’s branch in Victoria during this week. “Following the positive feedback we had over the past two years, we have decided to organise, once again this year, an exhibition of traditional Gozo crafts at the branch,” he said. There will be a variety of events throughout the week, including exhibitions by persons suitably attired in the traditional costumes who will demonstrate skills such as lace-making, ganutell, spin-weaving and others.

Mr Thewma announced that, as a special attraction for this year’s Gozo Week, arrangements are being made to have one of the Emvin Cremona paintings that have just been restored with BOV’s financial support, displayed at the BOV Victoria Branch.
