“The euro is another leap forward in exploiting a market that has multiplied from half a million to half a billion consumers,” according to Dr Simon Busuttil, MEP, during a visit to Toly Products Group of Companies at Bulebel industrial estate.

Toly chief William Wait explained the progress registered by the company since it began operations in 1971. Today the company employs 400 people in Malta and specialises in manufacturing cosmetic products. Toly are 100 per cent export-oriented, with a strong 85 per cent of its trade within the European Union.

Dr Busuttil praised Toly’s success and its ability to cope with EU membership and, now, its preparedness to adopt the euro.
