EPP-ED MEPs Simon Busuttil and David Casa, together with PN Assistant Secretary-General Angelito Sciberras, briefed the media on the EPP-ED Study Days to be held in Malta next week.
The event, a first for Malta, takes place between 4 and 6 July and brings up to 278 MEPs to the country, as well as four European Commissioners and a number of Ministers from EU and non-EU countries. Ministers will include the Jordanian Foreign Minister, the Slovene Internal Affairs Minister and the German Immigration Minister.
The Study Days will debate and provide input for the Group’s policy on Euro-Mediterranean relations, the maritime sector and immigration.
The MEPs also announced that in the margins of the Study Days, President Emeritus Guido De Marco will be awarded the Robert Schuman Medal in recognition of his efforts on European and Euro-Med issues.
