The EPP-ED conference held in Malta last week was a success from all aspects, a Nationalist Party statement said yesterday.
In the drawing up of the agenda for discussion, the PN was instrumental in including topics that were of great importance locally, such as irregular migration, the Euro-Mediterranean policy and maritime policy.
Over the three days, apart from the conference, the European Parliamentarians were involved in bilateral discussions and visits aimed for them to learn more about the Maltese reality, enabling them to understand Malta’s needs more.
In spite of Malta’s small size, the selection of Malta as the venue was an indication of the respect that Malta and the Nationalist Party enjoy in the international sphere, the PN said.
