In three separate statements, ministers Censu Galea, Louis Deguara and Jesmond Mugliett denied the accusations made earlier yesterday by Labour leader Alfred Sant.
Urban Development and Roads Minister Jesmond Mugliett said the Labour Opposition has a tradition of twisting facts and conjuring slander. He stated that the liar is he who twists facts according to his needs.
Competitiveness and Communications Minister Censu Galea strongly denied the “false” accusations made by Dr Sant, who called him a “liar”. Dr Deguara said the true liar is he who persists in making false accusations despite having been shown proof that what the minister was saying was true.
Health Minister Louis Deguara also strongly denied the “false” accusations made by Dr Sant, who said that the minister had lied in Parliament.
The ministers said that the Malta Labour Party, and especially its leader, are presently engaging in a “campaign of lies”, conjuring slander and orchestrating a systematic mud-slinging campaign in the hope that some day or another, some “mud might stick on”.
