The PN secretary general yesterday filed two libel suits, one against the Labour Party’s leader and secretary general, and another one against the Labour Party-owned television station, One Television, over reports regarding a yachting holiday as guest of building contractor Zaren Vassallo.

In the writs against Labour leader Alfred Sant, Labour secretary general Jason Micallef and head of One News Miriam Dalli, PN secretary general Joe Saliba claimed that the reports, issued by the MLP and broadcast on One News on Tuesday, were libellous and defamatory.

The writs were signed by Dr Joseph Zammit Maempel.
