Group ‘Cute’ Win Junior Song for Europe 2007 festival

The Junior Song for Europe 2007 festival this year has been won by the group ‘Cute’ with the song Music. The festival took place last Friday in the Sir Temi Zammit hall , tal-Qroqq, and aired live on TVM.

63 songs were submitted and heard ‘live’ by a jury made up of children and adults, who in the end chose 16 songs. The final show was won by ‘Cute’ made up of five girls, Celaine, Marzia, Paulanne, Trisha and Salaia, whose ages vary between 11 and 13 years.

The girls are participating in the fifth edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which is going to be held in Rotterdam on 8 December and in which 18 European countries are taking part. The first Junior Eurovision Song contest was held in Denmark in 2003 and the countries which have won so far have been Croatia in 2003, Spain in 2004, Belarus in 2005, and Russia in 2006.

The girls are part of the Angelic Voices Choir and their vocal trainer is Alison Ellul. They also learn modern dancing at Annalise Dance Studio.
