Court: Man Accused of stealing a car stereo

A man was yesterday refused bail after pleading not guilty to stealing a stereo from a car parked in Marsa on Sunday afternoon.

Victor Fenech, 36, from Marsa, was charged with stealing the stereo from a Hyundai owned by Alan Debono.

He was also accused of relapsing and of carrying a sharp and pointed instrument without a licence issued by the Police Commissioner.

Before magistrate Lawrence Quintano, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him. He was refused bail and remanded in custody.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono and Dr Marion Camilleri appeared for the accused.
