The Malta Union of Teachers’ Council yesterday thanked all academic staff at the MCAST who responded well to a two-hour strike between 10.30am and 12.30pm yesterday.

The MUT sent a delegation to the MCAST’s various institutes and confirmed the strike action was a success.

In a statement, the MUT said that their demands were justified, as demonstrated by the participation of MCAST staff.

It also advised its members that industrial action set for 12 October is still on schedule unless certain conditions are rectified by the relevant authorities.
