The Maltese National Canine Federation’s International Secretary, Frank Borg, has again made history by becoming the first Maltese judge to award Challenge Certificates in a Championship Dog Show in the United Kingdom.

Mr Borg has just returned from Ireland after officiating at the “Belfast Dog Show Society’s Championship Show”, which was held on 29 and 30 September at the King’s Hall, Belfast. Mr Borg judged the Cocker Spaniel breed, in which he awarded the challenge certificates for this breed for the first time.

Frank Borg became the first Maltese to be allowed by the Kennel Club (UK) to award Challenge Certificates in the UK, after he completed all the requisites to become a championship show judge in the United Kingdom.

He was also the first, and to date the only Maltese citizen, to be granted membership with the Kennel Club (UK).
