Pro Am Snooker has just announced a big programme of eight snooker tournaments for boys under the age of 16 and who were born after 1 January 1992.

The first tournament will be held on Saturday 3 November at 147 Snooker Hall in Hamrun. All the players have to be at the club at 9.15 am. For further information players have to phone on 99441107.

The winner and the runner-up of these tournaments win a place in the third Invitational European Under 17 tournament to be held in January 2009.

The first European Under 17 tournament was held last April. Maltese player Thurston Grixti managed to finish in third place. Shaun Sultana will be taking part in the second tournament which is going to be held in January.

There is a big possibility that another Maltese player will be chosen but the final decision will be taken next month. A strong field of 10 European players will take part.
