The MOC Executive Committee of the Maltese Olympic Committee has discussed amongst other things the fact that Pippo Psaila, MOC Director of Sports, accepted to be a candidate for the political general elections.

The MOC Executive agreed to the following decisions during the meeting which was not attended by Mr Psaila at his request.

Subsequently the Executive met Psaila, informed him of the decisions and he agreed to all the points set out below.

Psaila remains MOC Director of Sports at least until the Political General Elections

There will be a directorate for Sports (Sports Commission)

The MOC Sports Commission will be made up of the present Management Board members, excluding Psaila.

Till the time of the election, Psaila will not carry out the duties of Director of Sport.

Psaila will act as a consultant to the President of the MOC on technical matters.

The Sports Commission will be able to delegate any of its duties to any MOC Director.
