Alex Borg and Simon Zammit are on their way to Thailand where they will be representing Malta in the World Amateur Snooker championships being organised by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF).

Zammit has been drawn to play the qualifying round in Group C alongside M. Sagnil, Do Hoon, W. Al-Shaka’a, James Mifsud of Australia, J. Meara, M. Hamalinen, C.I. Chircu, P. Francisco, M. Leysi, S. Mohammed, O. Mounchid and V. Muldoon, while Alex Borg is in Group D with B. Erdene, K. Bissessur, J. Torpey, P. Jantad, Y. Fakuda, M. Al. Joker, D. O’Kane, A. Pagett, C. Lai, M. Rhodes, M. Nitschle and H. Su Ban.

The championship is to start on Saturday and will come to an end on 25 November.
