The sixth edition of The mAZe Street Atlas is now out. It includes all new street names and is fully updated. The mAZe Street Atlas, which comes in a handy A5 size, covering Malta, Gozo and Comino in one concise volume. Maps, in full colour throughout, are presented alphabetically for a quick search.

The Plans Section of this edition includes seating plans of theatres, the Mater Dei Hospital, Addolorata Cemetery, as well as all the Marinas.

The exhaustive index pages are colour-coded for easy reference. The street names are listed twice for quick reference. One index is by locality and the other in alphabetical order. The indexes for Malta and Gozo are separate.

The mAZe is not only maps and plans. The “Info mAZe” section contains a wealth of information such as a list of Parking Bays reserved for disabled persons; a list of local councils, elderly homes, cemeteries, health centres, police stations, dive sites, tower sites and so on. Many street names have been translated.

New Internet Service

On the publishers’ website (www.uptrend-malta.com) there is a free service to users of The mAZe. New names published or corrected after the publication date are listed. Uptrend have also started a new “Place and Street Names Encyclopaedia” where they give the meaning of names. This website is in English and it also serves as a dictionary for non-Maltese users. Both lists are being continuously updated. Everyone is invited to search and comment.
