Winter Warmer menus at Quadro

Malta Independent Sunday, 30 December 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Quadro restaurant, situated at The Westin Dragonara Resort has recently launched a new range of set menus, ideal for that special winter dinner. These set menus are being offered at an exceptional value of Lm10/EUR23.29 which include a three-course meal, a glass of Quadro wine and water.

On Friday 12 December, local journalists were invited to sample these new delicious menu selections, prepared with great attention to detail by Quadro chef Jonathan Vella and his team. Guests sampled the range of items available on the set menus including the delicious homemade Bouillabaisse, just like the one you will find in Marseille, France, the silky pumpkin and pear soup garnished with fried Chorizo and also the parmesan and anchovy cauliflower fritters to start with. The main course varied from appetizing red wine and juniper braised belly of pork, to Middle Eastern fish and shellfish stew and the Beef and Kidney Pot au Feu, served with winter vegetables and mashed potatoes.

For dessert, a range of homemade cakes and tarts were served, ranging from the chocolate and almond tart to the chocolate, prune and Armagnac tart and the apple and raisin crepes which no one said no to.

The winter warmer set menus are served at Quadro on a daily basis for dinner.
