The chairman of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, Andrew Calleja, has filed a libel suit against Victor Galea, secretary general of Alternattiva Demokratika, for an allegation appearing in a press release published on Alternattiva’s website on 3 December, 2007.

The press release made allegations and insinuations on the character of the chairman, which the chairman says are not true, and are intended only to tarnish his reputation.
