The MLP is forever bent on portraying itself as “new”. We had “new” Labour in 1996 – 1998 when there was nothing “new” at all. The candidates where not new, the policies were not new, the political ideology was not new.

The MLP is now proposing a “new” Beginning but underneath that cliché one cannot discern an ounce of “newness”. If anything, the 1996 MLP candidates who form the vast majority of the present MLP candidates, have just got more miles on the clock, more wear and tear and no new ideas. The MLP continually inserts the word “new” for purely political ends.
