A policeman will undergo criminal charges for slightly injuring a 16-year-old boy after the Criminal Court upheld a decision by the Court of Magistrates.
The boy’s mother had asked for the officer to undergo criminal proceedings, to which the Office of the Attorney General objected.
Chief Justice Vincent De Gaetano ruled that the AG did not present any evidence on which the court should revoke the first court’s decision.
Dr Edward Gatt appeared for the minor.
