Forty-six-year-old Francis Dalli was arraigned in court yesterday, following the discovery of explosive substances in his garage in Gudja.

Mr Dalli was accused of possessing explosive material in his garage in Gudja, and of importing illegal material related to the manufacture of fireworks, without a valid police licence.

He was released on bail against a personal guarantee of E2,000.
