A 31-year-old man was charged with stealing cash and items, including an ornamental pistol, worth e18,635 from a house in Pieta on 12 January.

Johan Pace, from Valletta, was also charged with wilful damage on the property owned by Michelle and Paolo Zerafa.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted while Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for the accused.
